2011 kom en rapport om att 250 000 indiska bönder mellan 1996 och 2011 begått självmord efter att ha hamnat i förödande skuldspiraler delvis som ett resultat av att jordbruket öppnades upp för den globala marknaden och introduceringen av genmanipulerade grödor. Majoriteten av dem var bomullsbönder. Mörkertalet är dock stort på grund av att vissa grupper av samhället förbjuds att äga mark och därmed inte blir inkluderade i statistiken.
Top Drawer Second Skin är konstruerad av ca 100 fram och bakstycken från avlagda bomulls t-shirts ihopsydda för hand. Installationen på bilden ca 300 x 280 x 250 cm exklusive rep. Repen justeras beroende på takhöjd. Storlek på verket 650 x 400 cm.

Who pays the actual price for the clothes produced?
In 2011, a report announced that between 1996 and 2011, 250,000 Indian farmers committed suicide after falling into devastating spirals of debt partly as a result of the opening up of agriculture to the global market and the introduction of genetically engineered crops. The majority of them were cotton farmers. However, the number is believed to be much higher due to the fact that certain groups of society are prohibited from owning land and are thus not included in the statistics.
Top Drawer Second Skin is constructed from approximately 100 front and back pieces from discarded cotton t-shirts sewn together by hand. The installation in the picture approx. 300 x 280 x 250 cm exclusive rope. The ropes are adjusted depending on the ceiling height. Size of the work 650 x 400 cm.
